People email you asking, "What's the least you would take for it?" Do some of these people actually think you're going to lowball yourself?

part of the game. Just gotta pick a price that gives you wiggle room, yet is not so high it scares off buyers.
BTW, I learn the hard way to NEVER negotiate the price, unless the buyer is in front of you.
I sold a 1967 Chevy truck last year, and the guy repeatly low balled. In between low balling me he would ask for pictures. I ended up sending him almost 40 pictures, cab supports, radiator supports, cab corners from the inside, etc. He finally talked me down to a price to which I was really uncomfortable selling it at, but agreed to any ways.
So you can guess that when he comes to get the truck, he looks at for an hour, trying to find something wrong that I didn't send him a picture of, and when he does he starts over low balling me. Rather than lower my price any more, I let him leave with his empty trailer...over $200 bucks ... I just was not going any lower, partly because I sensed this game was going to continue until he got the truck for free. He still stole 2 or three hours of my life.
Now when asked for my lowest price, I tell them they need to come see it and make me an offer.

Yeah I never negotiate unless they're in front of me. I've also learned anyone who asks 'what's your lowest price' without seeing it, will never buy it. I just respond that I'm asking for whatever it's listed at and they're welcome to come look and make an offer. They never do...
